the ultimate bling bling ear cuff diy

Yesterday I felt a sudden crush on these beautiful bling bling ear cuffs I've seen so often before, but never noticed how breathtaking they actually are. But because I was too impatient (and don't have enough money and didn't post anything for a looong time), I decided to diy one myself instead of buying it. So here it is, the ultimate bling bling ear cuff diy:

 You'll need: some wire, super strong glue, an earring, rhinestones (mine are from plastic, so I was able to cut them into shape with a normal scissors) and a tong.

 First roll up one end of the wire using your tong and leaving a hole inside big enough for the earring to fit into.

 Now form with the rest of the wire the shape you want your ear cuff to have. I just formed many of these tiny curves along the edge of my ear so there is a bigger surface to glue the rhinestones on. At the end of the wire/ your ear cuff shape you should form a lateral strand (or whatever one calls that), which is going to be the cuff at your upper ear.

 After that you can glue the earring into the rolled up end of the wire and band the "lateral strand" into a cuff (as you can see below).

Then glue the rhinestones and wait until it completely dried.

 Tadaaaaaa! This is my finished ear cuff (oh I love how it reflects the blue colour of the twilight sky!)

Hanabi skull

I went to Hanabi (Japanese; firework) with my bf when we visited Japan recently. There I shot millions of pictures and also played around with the focus trying to create interesting masterpieces. Only now, looking through all the pictures, I recognized, that this one really looks like a scared scull... does this indicate anything?

an afternoon with Paul

 Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to Paul:

This is my little teenage cat Paul, who, unlike other teenagers, is actually pretty easy to deal with. No matter how you ruffle his fur, he will certainly purr! On the other hand, he is the laziest cat, I've ever met. I bet he is just too lazy to fight back when you rumple his head, it's actually comfier to purr.

Nevertheless I love him for being like that. Of course in the beginning it was pretty boring if you wanted to play with him, because he would never try to catch the "mouse" you lovingly crafted from old cloths. But now I got used to that and discovered how relaxing it is to chill on the sofa after a long day being welcomed by a purring cuteness like Paul, who just wants to be cuddled.

 I immediately fell in love with this bracelet yet noticed, that it would be easy to diy.

This diy really is pretty easy, you just need two kinds of wire; a stronger one to form the word and a softer and prettier one to wrap around it. And of course you'll need a piece of an old bracelet or necklace with a fastener.

But before wrapping, you should check the spelling, I was clever enough to forget the 'n'.

Makeup for hooded eyes

Since I have hooded eyes but would love to wear Smokey Eyes or simply wear eyeshadow more often, I started to google for tutorials. I tried out a lot before, but nothing really worked on my eyes, because either my eyes appeared even smaller and deeper or you couldn't even see the eyeshadow. I found many tutorials on Youtube (in which the Models didn't even have REAL hooded eyes, maybe just a tiny bit), and then tried out the golden mean of them. 

This makeup is more for the daily use, but you can also enhance for a night out. For a Smokey Eye look just apply kohl on your upper lash line and blend it out (to intensify the look, you can also add kohl to your lower lash line, but don't forget to blend it out, too, or your lower water line)

You'll need: an eyeshadow base, 1. a concealer, 2.Your favorite mascara, three eyeshadows (3. light, 4. dark, 5. middle)

 First of all, apply a base over the whole lid.

While it's still drying, apply the lightest eyeshadow over the whole lid, too.

Now apply the medium eyeshadow. Remember to apply it as high as possible (so you can see as much as possible when you open your eyes), but still leave some clear space under the eyebrow. 

Then blend it with the light eyeshadow. 

The difference to the makeup on "normal" eyes, is that you can't see the lid, when your eyes are opened, so it's useless to highlight it. 

Consequently you highlight the inner corner of the eye, which you can still see with opened eyes, to create some structure.

Then apply the darkest eyeshadow to the outer corner of your lid.

It should have the shape of an eyeline at the lower edge to create that cat eye-look

For this look it's important to hide any shadows under your eyes so you don't paint yourself a black eye.

Dap it under the eye, the inner corners and under the brow.

I always apply it only now, because now I can still remove any glitter and colour of the eyeshadow that might have fallen down.

Now paint about one third of the lower lash line with the darkest eyeshadow and apply your favorite Mascara (much much!!).

This actually ought to be the finished look, but I have to admit that it was pretty late in the night, so I didn't recognize my photography and photoshop skills were fading quite a lot.

In reality the finished look is somewhere between pictures 5 and 6 with a lot mascara.

All in all it makes my eyes look like chinese cat eyes, which I pretty like.

I just came back from our trip to gorgeous Tokyo and it was AWESOME. Not only the food, the people, the sightseeing, but also the clean public toilets, that had e.g. a music and a dryer button!
